The question of whether electronic training collars should be banned in Ireland is under consideration by the Advisory Council for Companion Animal Welfare who then in turn advise the Minister.

ARDO are in the process of compiling a comprehensive response.

In the meantime, could we please urge any residents of Ireland who either use/have used  e-collars, or who would be against such a ban to please write to your TD with  your experiences and objections.

Please also ENSURE that you  “CC”  animalwelfare@agriculture.gov.ie and “BCC” info@joinardo.com into your e-mail to your TD so that we can monitor responses.

Please share this request with anyone you know who may be prepared to do the same.

Neither the government or the Advisory council have disclosed further details at this time.

SUBMISSIONS MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE CLOSING DATE OF  26th JANUARY 2024.

Thank you so much for your continued support in helping us to encourage responsible dog ownership.
